Serving from Influence

“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14)”

 

Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, “Why did God place me in this room? Why did He give me this relationship, opportunity, or influence?”

 

I imagine Esther wrestled with those same questions. She went from an ordinary young woman to a queen with access to the most powerful person in her nation. The palace could have become a place of comfort and security.

 

But then she realized her position was not just a blessing; It was an assignment.

 

It was about using what God had entrusted to her for the sake of others.

 

Maybe that is the invitation God is extending to us today.

 

Advocacy: Using Your Voice

 

Esther chose courage over comfort. She spoke on behalf of those who could not speak for themselves.

 

Sometimes advocacy does not happen on a grand stage. Sometimes it looks like encouraging a struggling colleague, defending someone who has been overlooked, or offering wisdom to someone searching for direction.

 

God often places us in certain rooms so His compassion can have a voice.

 

Sponsorship: Using Your Influence

 

Before Esther became queen, Mordecai invested in her journey. Later, Esther used her own position to protect and elevate her people.

 

The wisdom, relationships, experiences, and opportunities God has given us were never meant to stop with us. They were meant to flow through us.

 

Kingdom influence asks not only, “How far can I go?”

 

It asks, “Who can I bring with me?”

 

Access Sharing: Opening the Door

 

Esther had access others did not have, and her willingness to use that access changed history.

 

The same is true today. A conversation, connection, recommendation, or invitation may become the very breakthrough someone else has been praying for.

 

Perhaps the greatest question is not, “What doors has God opened for me?”

 

But rather, “Whose door is God asking me to open?”

 

Reflection Question

Where has God given me influence, and who might He be inviting me to serve through it?

 

Suggested Prayer

Father, thank You for every relationship, opportunity, and place of influence You have entrusted to me. Give me the courage of Esther to speak up, step forward, and open doors for others. Let my life become a bridge that reflects Your love, wisdom, and compassion. Amen.

This week, ask God to show you one person who needs your encouragement, connection, or advocacy.

 

Then take one courageous step.

  • Make the introduction
  • Share your wisdom
  • Hold the door open

Because the influence God gave you was never meant to end with you.
