Leading Like Jesus - Impact Maker's Challenge Presentation

This presentation is from Kileha Holder’s Impact Maker’s Challenge program. ENJOY! :)

PRESENTATION SUMMARY:

What does it really mean to lead like Jesus?

Leadership isn’t ultimately about position, performance, accomplishments, or authority. It begins with knowing whose you are. When our identity is rooted in Christ rather than what we accomplish, we can lead from a place of security instead of striving.

My own journey has taught me that some of the most difficult and broken seasons of life can become the very places God develops our greatest leadership capacity. Brokenness does not disqualify us. When surrendered to Jesus, our pain can become a source of wisdom, compassion, and spiritual authority that allows us to help others walk through their own difficult seasons.

Leading like Jesus also means seeking God before strategy. Instead of asking, “How can I make this work?” we can pause and ask, “God, what are You doing here, and how can I partner with You?” Sometimes His direction won’t make logical sense. Faith requires us to trust Him with the next step even when we cannot see the entire path.

Christ-centered leadership requires surrender: “Your will, not mine. Your impact, not mine. Your outcome, not mine.” It means listening before leading, stewarding rather than controlling, choosing obedience over comfort, and allowing our trials to shape rather than harden us.
Most importantly, Jesus calls us to lead through servanthood. Our influence is not meant to manipulate or use people to accomplish our goals. It is meant to bring hope, courage, healing, and flourishing to those around us.

Ultimately, leadership success isn’t measured by what we accomplish for God, but by what God accomplishes through us.

So here’s the question worth pondering: What if the very thing that looks crazy, disruptive, or unexpected in your leadership is actually where God is inviting you into deeper alignment with Him?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
