Seeing Your Role as Kingdom Work

“And whatever you do…do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” — Colossians 3:17

Before you ever accept a job offer, you  Scripture reminds us that our identity in Christ comes before our employment status. Your title may change, but your calling remains steady—to represent Jesus wherever you are placed.

Occupation defines your role.

Vocation defines your assignment.

When you approach work as a calling, everyday tasks become opportunities for Kingdom influence. Emails become ministry. Meetings become moments of stewardship Leadership becomes service.

Reflection:

  • Where have you allowed your title to define your worth?
  • How does remembering your calling shift how you approach your work?

Suggested Prayer:
Lord, remind me that my identity is rooted in You, not my role. Help me work from calling, not for validation. Amen.

Growth Activity: Begin each workday by dedicating your tasks to God before opening your inbox.
