StoryDrive and Steps of Courage (a division of The 3:15 Project) is a ministry that works with individuals, churches, Sunday school classes, small groups and other Christian organizations to empower followers of Christ to know and share their stories. The ministry is rooted on the verse in 1 Peter 3:15 which says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

WHY Your Support Will Make A Difference
According to Barna Group’s research in 2018, 48% of Christians aren’t comfortable sharing their faith with others. What’s even more rare is their willingness to share their stories (testimonies) about how their lives changed when their “messy” circumstances intersected with Jesus’ transformational power.
Sadly, for those that are willing to share those stories, most churches do not have a way to help them prepare and film their stories with excellence in order to share it inside and outside the walls of their church. StoryDrive wants to change this by making it easier for Believers across the world to share the hope they’ve found in Jesus with people around them through integrating personal testimonies with technology.
As people journey through the ministry’s Steps of Courage story-sharing process, they fall deeper in love with Jesus. At the end of that journey they walk away with a concise and easily sharable version of their story that is professionally filmed. When they release their story, it then becomes a powerful tool to a) provide hope and encouragement to others as they walk through difficult circumstances, b) revitalize the local church, and c) present the gospel message on a local and global level through a variety of online platforms.
Here is just a small sample of the results the ministry has seen through empowering others to share their stories:
- Over 300 people viewed one story 30 days after it was released online, prompting a multitude of phone calls, texts and emails from family, friends, and high school connections – each one opening the door to a deeper conversation about Jesus.
- The professional look and feel of the filmed story allowed a CEO to share his testimony through social media to positively impact countless numbers of viewers.
- Steps of Courage provided a structured way to condense one story into a 5-minute summary. After sharing it, many people responded back saying they were blessed by it and bravely shared their own story.
- After stalling 2-years, the Steps of Courage journey reaffirmed one man’s identity in Christ and provided a deeper sense of freedom through the sharing of his story.
- Since 2011 our video library has been shared and seen over 120,000 times by people across the globe.

Kris’ Reason For Partnering With StoryDrive
“I’m fine.” How many times have you heard that response from others only to find out later that those very same people have been experiencing life altering challenges; keeping everything quiet because they are barely holding it together and afraid of what will happen if they let someone into their extremely difficult situation. What those people need are assurances that they are not alone, and that the God of the Impossible has the power to step in and bring beauty out of their ashes. I know….because the Lord sent me on a “Crazy” 12K+ mile Adventure across the U.S. to share my story in order to bring hope and provide encouragement to hundreds of people currently walking out a variety of incredibly difficult situations in their own lives.
As I traveled from state to state, I recognized the Lord had not coordinated that “Crazy” Adventure just for my spiritual growth, but rather as an incredible testimony of HIS faithfulness and desire to take care of all His kids because of how much He loves us. I feel so strongly about the power of our God stories that I am now aligning with Todd Miechiels, the Founder of the StoryDrive, who is helping people share their God stories of courage and hope which is having incredible Kingdom impact across the globe.
