Hello everyone! I arrived back in FL on 11/30/Fri.  My first stop for the weekend was a friend named D’Anna. What’s really funny is several times during 2017 and 2018 when she lived in GA we tried multiple times to get together for coffee at her home and it never worked out with either of our schedules. I had to wait another year and drive over 400 miles to her new home in FL to make that happen. :)  We laughed about that several times while I was there. The wait was well worth it too!  Great conversations, hilarious moments with her kids, and a fun discussion with her and her husband. I look forward to doing it again at some point in the future.

After that I stopped by and met a friend named Rindi who used to be in a women’s small group I attended in GA from 2012 – 2014.  When I found out she now lived 90-minutes north of my Mom it proved to be a great opportunity to reconnect. Over dinner we shared all the things that happened in our lives since 2014, discovering several similar experiences. I’m so glad she reached out on Facebook to let me know where she was living a few months ago. It was great to catch up with her.

I arrived at my Mom’s place later that evening. It’s been nice spending time with her, and I’m very blessed to include my Mom in my circle of friends as well as having her as a parent.

The FL destination during this part of my Adventure seems to be another gift from the Lord since it’s been near or over 70 degrees most days. Before I left GA the weather ranged  between 20s – 50s, so you can imagine how happy I am to be down here enjoying the sunshine and heat rather than the cold.

Per my last blog post I’ve been focusing a majority of my time over the last few weeks writing the book about my Adventure and all the things the Lord taught me. I still have a chapter to write and then editing to do, but for the most part it’s done!  YEAH!!

The blog entries from the Adventure are part of the book along with several other topics I felt led to write about. Therefore I will be removing all the blog posts off my website by the end of the year to keep the information contained in one place (the book). If you are running behind in reading the G-d Adventure Sabbatical Series, make sure to catch up by 12/31

As I put the final touches on this book my situation remains the same — the Lord has not yet released me from my Adventure. I am still moving from place to place as the Lord prompts people to open their homes to me for a day, a week, or longer. Financially I don’t have a clue how the bills will be paid, but I remain rooted in the One who does know – trusting the money will show up when I need it.

I miss having a home with all my stuff around me and a cushion of money in the bank. And yet this Adventure has completely transformed my perspective of what a “normal” life looks like. I no longer need those things to experience inner peace and joy. My security is in the Lord and my life is His to lead however He chooses.

Thanks to everything I learned on my crazy adventure my new “normal” is living my life one day at a time, however that looks. In this season it’s “living out of my car” trusting in His complete provision, and next season it will be something else.

My desire is for the Lord to release me from the Adventure into a stable residence and abundance finances, but if He doesn’t that’s okay too. He knows what’s best right now and my job is obediently follow Him forward.

Whenever my feelings of frustration or sadness get the best of me, I hand them to the Lord and we process through them together. My willingness to be honest with Him is one of the reasons I am able to maintain the inner peace and joy I receive from the Holy Spirit. Like any relationship grounded in trust, hard conversations are a necessary part of growing in intimacy with others. The Lord is no different. Being “real” gives me the freedom to come to Him as I am and gives Him the freedom to tell me the truth even if it’s difficult to hear. That type of relationship is rock solid and will survive the most difficult of circumstances.

I am planning on publishing the book early next year and will looking for opportunities to speak about my Adventure to faith-based groups across the country. Due to my publishing time line, this will be the last “official” blog post for this series unless the Lord prompts me to share other content from the book with you sooner.

Thanks to all of you for following my Adventure, for the words of encouragement, and for the prayers you’ve offered at various times throughout my journey. I’ve loved having you follow me through my Adventure and I hope you’ve benefited in some way from the stories I’ve shared.

I’ll let you know when the book is available for purchase. Until then, feel free to share the link about my “Crazy” Adventure with faith-based groups who could benefit from it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!  May Blessings and Favor follow you around for the rest of your life!

:) ~Kris
